The basis of the cold brick is formed by unmixed brick residues in particularly fine grain sizes. In addition to the corresponding fractions of recycled broken bricks from the recycling plant, these are also produced, for example, when grinding facing bricks. Mixed with a natural binder mixture, the brick grains are solidified in a specially developed pressing process and then dried in the air at ambient temperature. This production method completely eliminates the need for firing. The result is a brick with a particularly high bulk density and correspondingly high compressive strength. This cold brick fulfills all static requirements for load-bearing interior walls. Due to its mass, the increased sound insulation requirements in this area also pose no problem.
