Rainwater management and stormwater treatment
Klimaquartier - Drainage at district level
The “Klimaquartier drainage concept” is a concept that combines the use of various products and their application in terms of
climate and water protection. The aim is to create a drainage system at district level (whereby a district describes the public
space beyond the home in which regular activities take place) that meets the requirements of DWA Code of Practice 102 - 4
“Principles for the management and treatment of rainwater runoff for discharge into surface waters - Part 4: Water balance
balance for the management of rainwater”. Essentially, the aim is to evaporate, infiltrate or discharge the precipitation water to
in the same proportions as would have occurred on the natural, undeveloped area.
