The patented lighting system is made of innovative materials whose optical properties are exploited in a novel geometric element. A thin central aluminum core supports two LED strips that emit their light to the opposite sides. The transmittance and reflectance values of the materials, as well as the geometry of the inner and outer surfaces, are designed to ensure uniform light distribution and diffusion without the technical heart of the element being noticed. The light emission is pleasant and diffuse, there are no visible shadows and no glare. The luminous efficiency is high because the light energy is scattered several times within the lighting fixture, but none of it is wasted, and absorption by the materials is minimal.
