The core innovation of STROHBOID is the patented (A50363/2018) wooden lattice shell used in the pavilion, made of local beech wood with a better load-bearing capacity than steel (carries up to 2000 kg additional load). This structure guarantees a sustainable, ecological and modular solution for different types of buildings. Precise craftsmanship & computerized manufacturing go hand in hand with sophisticated, patented technology to provide our customers with 100% natural products in line with the cradle-to-cradle principle. When erected, the supporting structure has the shape of a hyperbolic paraboloid due to stability requirements and immanent design reasons. Such lattice shells are among the lightest and most efficient structures.
