Natural Intelligence: A New Era of Sustainability (lecture only accessible in German)
Jun.-Prof. Dr.-Ing. M.Eng. Arch. Hanaa Dahy - BIOMAT (ITKE) Universität Stuttgart
The lecture will address various developments that have been carried out within the framework of the established chair of the speaker with the aim of a future-oriented sustainable architecture. In this context, work with local materials, especially bio-based ones, and with different means of embedding intelligence will be highlighted, which took place using approaches such as digital fabrication technologies and the integration of computer-aided design methods. In addition, multidisciplinary work, automation technologies, and other factors are highlighted to show how current and forward-looking techniques can have a direct impact on how intelligent, sustainable architecture of the future can be developed and created, and how it serves the environment and society.
The case studies that will be analyzed during the lecture will cover a wide range in this regard, and other related topics will be able to be further explored in the open discussion.
"Hanaa Dahy, born in Cairo, is a registered freelance architect in the Chamber of Architects in Germany and an engineer in Egypt, with 18 years of experience in academia and practice.
