DiagonalDübelholz® is a proprietary Sohm HolzBautechnik development for flat solid wood elements used in wall, ceiling and roof construction. The award-winning and patented technology enables a solid and environmentally friendly construction method. A system with first-class visible surfaces that has proven itself nationwide since 2001.
STRONG CONNECTION
Finger-jointed lamellas, unlike conventional board-and-batten or dowel lumber, are joined to form the full-surface DD element even more dimensionally stable not by parallel, but by diagonally pressed-in hardwood dowels and corrugated profiling. These unique connections create the flat and smooth surface.
HEALTHY AND ECOLOGICAL
For the production of the DiagonalDübelholz® element, no metallic fasteners are required. With only 0.05% glue content, it contains less than one tenth of the glue content of cross-laminated timber. Because it is not only the appearance that must be coherent. Our solid wood construction identifies with its origin, with nature.
ADVANTAGES
- High-quality visible surfaces due to specially defined wood sorting criteria
- Dimensionally accurate due to diagonally pressed-in hardwood dowels and wave profiling
- Excellent insulation values due to multi-layer structures
- Short assembly times due to high degree of prefabrication
- Sustainable and CO2-neutral construction
- Without metal fasteners
- 1/10 glue content of cross laminated timber
- Solid wood acts as a natural moisture and heat regulator
- Large surface selection e.g. fir Auslese planed or sawed, clay, plaster, tiles, ...
- Simple planning and cost-effective execution
- Increased sound insulation when used as a wood-concrete composite ceiling
